So, uh.. hey again. It's been a while.
And well, that's not my fault... at least, not entirely.
You see, school is a massive pain in the (insert a not-so-nice word for all the teachers out there reading my blog, you guys are the real MVP's). I mix up my molecules from chemistry with my pronouns from English, all whilst sitting in biology. Surely, something went wrong somewhere. (Maybe because my nights revolve around seeing how many times I can throw my cat up into the air to Little Mix's 'Wings' before she tries to claw my eyes out. The record is 8 so far. Go Fizz.) I have no regrets, really. You'd ought to think I do.
But since I'm sick, was basically jabbed in numerous parts of my body with needles in the last three days (yay to ear piercings and immunisations), and the fact that can't even keep my eyes open for more than 10 minutes at a time, (Chemistry is 5 minutes max) I thought I would leave a sweet and simple message for all of you who are supporting me by following my blog.
Remember when I said running a blog isn't easy? Whatsoever? I really mean that. It's not the fact that I'm running a blog specifically itself. But a lot of the time, we as people are somewhat confident enough sometimes to feel comfortable with throwing their passion out there. For a lot of people, this can involve hobbies such as dancing, singing, BMX riding, sports such as Basketball or Football, Gaming, Designing, heck, even studying for fun can be considered a hobby or passion. But the reason why I'd like to call blogging and photography a passion instead of a mere term such as a 'Hobby', is because I love it. It is something that requires passion and motivation and determination from the deepest corners of my heart, and brings me joy and happiness. Just as all of your hobbies are YOUR passions.
And the great thing is, a lot of people have a lot of different passions. But the sad thing is, some are considered to be more 'cooler' than others. and this leads to inequalities and a lot of the time, judgement on those other people's passions. But here's the real thing: WHAT MAKES OTHER PEOPLE HAPPY DOES. NOT. AFFECT. YOU. Repeat it over and over. Until you are able to realise that in no circumstance, and I mean in no circumstance ever, are you to feel that it is okay to belittle, negatively comment on, or degrade other people for their passions. (I mean, unless their passion is hacking off random strangers heads off with a chainsaw for Friday night entertainment, I think you can let a few of the more 'uncool' hobbies slide).
So for those of you who see the shameless self-promo of my blog and think to yourselves; "Wow. That girl is putting herself out there and writing whatever is dear to her heart, whether others agree with it or not. That's really great. I'm going to support her." Then thank you. I really, really appreciate it. And thanks for letting me do me.
And for those of you who look at the vision I'm trying to build for myself, and think of degrading comments or that I'm 'lame', or 'cringe', or won't get anywhere, then I deeply hope that you are confident enough in the people you are yourselves. Because to knock somebodies main source of happiness down requires a special type of resentment, insecurity, and envy that somebody out there is trying to do something with their lives. So I sincerely hope for you if you are one of those people who care far too much about what other's think in a negative way, and make sure that other's know your not-so-positive comments as well.
So here's a big thank you and appreciation message for all of you who do love me for the person I am, and the person I am trying to become. You have no idea how dear I hold the thought of people supporting people to my heart, and this kindness is something I hope spreads from every branch of the heart to even the cold-hearted walls of those who are not ready to embrace what passion feels like.
